What is the course about?

The new EU AI Act is a complex and wide-reaching regulation, and there are still many open questions around its scope, requirements, and practical implications for businesses.Research shows that some initial analyses and recommendations that are now being shared on this important emerging topic are either not fully informed, not actionable, or outright misleading. To address this knowledge gap, this course is aimed at providing you with carefully curated guidance on the Act's scope, key provisions, their impact on organisations, and the steps towards ensuring AI governance by leveraging appropriate frameworks and establishing policies, procedures, and controls. The role of European and international standards, including ISO/IEC 42001:2023, is also covered. The insights from this course will help you upskill in AI Governance and will facilitate your planning and decision-making regarding the evolving situation around the development and deployment of AI systems in Europe.

Testimonials

Marina Donald
Head of Legal and Data Protection Officer at The Virtual CISO Limited

I am interested in AI regulation, and I was fortunate enough to have Aleksandr as my lecturer. His high level of professionalism opened the door to a new regulatory space for me, giving invaluable support in this terra incognita. Aleksandr provided practical details and, in my case, displayed a great deal of patience in explaining complex concepts to a newcomer without a technical background. His enthusiasm and expertise made my first steps in discovering this new field an enriching experience. (Source)

Judging by my LinkedIn feed, everybody is tinkering with generative AI all day long these days (yes, yes, it is all work related, of course 😉). As they say, it is all fun and games until someone loses an eye. If you deploy (or plan to deploy) generative AI in a corporate setting, listen to what Aleksandr Tiulkanov has to say about how to use AI responsibly. I know him for several years, he knows what he is talking about, and he has become one of the leading experts that I know in AI ethics. (Source)
